Well David still revered Him as the Lords anointed even though He had fallen, and would not strike him so neither will I. He recieved the anointing of the Lord, which to me Is a type of new testament salvation:
1Jn 2v27: But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Just as when a Christian is born again, he may fall into sin and become decieved, he is never the less saved. And though a brother may have to go against that person and rebuke him openly He is still a brother.
Of course the anointing (the Holy Spirit) can teach people who listen to His voice and submit to His will. His voice is discerened through the reading of the scriptures (whereby he quickens certain messages to our hearts)not by mystical practices.
