I was thinking maybe you were alluding to Christian Scientists and my own thinking on that group changed when I read more about Mary Baker Eddy... What she was about I think was using positive attitudes and self concepts as healing or emphasizing this... The state of medicine when she was alive was not necessarily that beneficial and tended to use methods that were pretty backward by today's standards.

God also I think provides people with skillful physicians so to ignore medical care entirely I think is not really spiritual but too doctrinaire and dogmatic... We need somewhere a middle ground for both spirituality and healing!
