Its a nice question but you are actually questioning the intention of a person who doesnot exist anymore among people. But if you really are interested to know about what would have been his reaction to the present situation,then you should read the reports of the Hadiths(Prophetic traditions) of Muhammad(pbuh) in which described and informed about the future situation and the future muslims before the day of judgment.
He has even indirectly criticized muslims ,the coming of anti-christ who will take over this world and bring disaster to this world ,the people will change, and muslims will further divide into different sects.
In a hadith,it is mentioned that an anti-Christ will appear before the day of judgment and he will bring disaster to this world, he will call himself "GOD" and
many people will fall in his trap except those who have strong faith and belief in True God. The people with strong faith will understand him as "Anti-Christ" and will not follow his path.
It is also reported that he will cause shortage of food,water and other stuff and people will suffer from malnutrition, poverty will increase and he will say to the people "if you really want to survive then follow me and believe in me".
This is one of the tests from God, and this is what we see happening in this present world. The prices of Oil,food, gas and other important stuff is increasing ,unemployment an health issues are increasing .
Poverty is also rising and who is responsible for all this?
Is Religion responsible for all this?
The present economic system is responsible for all this which has taken over the world . The economic system of today is a hell for middle class especially for poor people and heaven for top class rich and influential people.
It deals in the uneven distribution of wealth in the world causing the minority to become rich and majority to become poor.
It is a trap and brings people into slavery and according to the interpretation of many experts, this is the indication of arrival of anti-christ.
