Well I think it's not difficult to find spiritual truths in the Bible as it is a kind of record of revelations received over say about a thousand years... The Bible should also I think, be approached with respect for it's uniqueness and influence over many peoples spiritual lives.

It is also true to me that the Bible is part of the great spiritual heritage of the human race along with other revealed scriptures.

Absolutely. I agree that we should show respect for the bible. In Islam, we are taught to respect the Torah and the Injeel. The Torah is the old Testament and the Injeel is the Gospel of Jesus (in Arabic: Isa).

To presume that one's own view is correct, thereby implying that everyone else's is wrong - brings one to the level of evangelists, no-one has the right to try to convince anyone else of the superior veracity of their own beliefs.

Because they may actually be wrong.

I found the Truth in the Bible, in Jesus's teachings. I did not find the Truth through the Bible, but through my own awareness. The Bible as many other spiritual books are validations for what I found.

If you don't know the Truth, you will not see it anywhere. If you know the Truth you will see it everywhere.

Ameen to that! When I finally recognized the true existance of God, I saw Him in everything; and I still do. It really helps me get through my day, humdulillah.

I couldn't agree more vivamis123.
I found Truth in my experience and it was corroborated in the Bible and many other spiritual sources. Now I see it everywhere, in everything, and in everyone.

In my opinion, the Bible is often misunderstood because people take it as a historical work rather than the psychological work it is. As a result both its intent and value are often underestimated.

I would see no reason to convince someone, or to try to convince someone, because I don't believe it is my place to do so.

Rainbow Is it said anywhere in the Bible where it says the Bible is the only truth

I do believe the Bible 'is the truth'..So there is no need to have it 'said in the Bible' that it is the truth..
