Yuck-- that's painful just thinking about it.

By the way, you wrote:May I ask which books?

In Torah study, we use "The Jewish Study Bible" put out by JPS as our base (we also use other texts, including the Stone Edition Tanakh), and some of the notes indicate which language other than Hebrew may have been used. I really don't have time to go through and find example. We're now in II Chronicles, and I know it shows up at least once in some of the earlier chapters. Some of our books were not written in eretz Israel, especially during the Babylonian exile.

Shalom,
Vern

I suspect that the non-Hebrew writings are limited to the Aramaic portions of Daniel and Ezra.

Speaking of Torahs, you might find the R.E. Friedman and Robert Alter offerings of interest.

Yes with Daniel according to my memory (often flawed), but I wasn't aware of Ezra.

Thanks for the book recommendations-- I'll check them out later.

Shabbat shalom,
Vern
