Leaving Asatru?

Posted Yesterday at 10:22 PM by Outlaw393

For the first time in three years, I am debating leaving everything Asatru behind. After conversations both on this website, and on other sites with people of the faith, I am convinced that I cannot fit in. Likewise, the community has shown it's true colors to me and has outright rejected me.

I am discouraged and bored of Asatru's claim that they'll accept anyone who believes in the gods and wishes to join them in worship. After all, I found out first and foremost that the claim isn't...

I am a baha'i

That to me is the crux of debating. So, I will try to consult with everyone in different forums. I leave you with this quote from the Prophet Founder of our Faith Baha'u'llah.

"Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues. Without truthfulness, progress...

A Rational and Somewhat Humorous Discourse (Note from Moi, the Author)

I'm not nearly as serious or gentle, and I do poke fun at multiple ideologies, but it's not designed to show anyone up, it's only designed to show that while some worthwhile points are made, this is not a piece meant as a definitive analysis of all things spiritual and rational. You'll find that some theories are expressed with incomplete logic, and if you have the desire to question...

Spirituality, Religion, and Atheism: A Rational and Somewhat Humorous Discourse

At the age of sixteen, a full year after my baptism in the Episcopalian Church, while in high school, that everyday environment where average teenagers force their views onto each other rather unjustly, without compassion or forethought, it became very clear to me that Christian dogma wasn't actually the ideology that had been promoted to me prior to my baptism. Not that I would have been able to put such...

A Rational and Somewhat Humorous Discourse (Part Numero Dos)

Posted 2nd September 2010 at 12:11 PM by Tao Jones
Updated 3rd September 2010 at 02:20 PM by Tao Jones

By the time I was 21, I was pretty upset with the state of the world, and I was even more upset that God had made me exist in this very same world. I mean, of all time periods, why this one? Why not a thousand years down the line, or two thousand years, or however long it will take for this world to grow up and say to itself, “We're all human, every single one of us, so let's stop it with the intolerance and start moving forward instead of backward.”? So, while alone in my cousin's doublewide mobile...
