Also, we will give priority to books suggested by members who participate in other book discussions. This gives incentive to read outside your personal preference and gain insight to the tastes and influences of others.

Fahad1 is on a distinguished road
Their are some books that i would like to recommend.

Anyone interested in Islamic History should read these books:

1) Life of Muhammad by Hussain Haykal ,translated by Raji Al-Farooqi.

2) History of the Arabs by Philip Hitti (Latest Edition)

3) Islamiat (GCE O-level standard book) by Farkhanda Noor.

site: www.muslimheritage.com and www.muslimphilosopy.com

Anyone interested in Science and Technology must read the following:

1) Computer World Magazine (The most comprehensive magazine on latest technology).

In the future i'll mention other books that might be of interest to you all.

Regards,

Book suggestion

I would like to suggest/discuss with others the book: Your Faith is your fortune by Neville, DeVorss Publications, Inspiritational Self-Help, $9.95

Neville 1905 -1972. Born in Barbados, West Indies, Neville was the fourth son in a family of nine boys and one girl. At age seventeen, he came to the United States to study drama. In 1932 he gave up the theater entirely to devote his attention to his studies in mysticism. He began his lecture career in New York City, and travelled throughout the country, eventually establishing his home in Los Angeles. In the late 1950's he gave a series of talks on television, and for many years he lectured regulary, to capacity audiences, at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. His ten books, written over a period of some thirty years, deal with creative visualization and the transformation of consciousness.

I tried this suggestion before though it didn't get posted for some reason.

Any of six books by David Hawkins.

As you'll see, the six are depicted near the top right.

So far, I've read the first half of the first book on that list and the last two.

Or maybe a thread on what others have read that has influenced them the most? I'd love that, too.

You can do that in the library forum or in the General Discussion forum.

I would like to suggest "The Faith Club." Here is what our member Billieewing has to say about it.

Quote:
I just recently read an excellent book titled "The Faith Club". It was the combination of three women's journals that they kept as they met with each others once a week for three years to share their faiths. One was a Jew, one was Christian and one was Muslim. This is not a fictional book . I wish everyone in the world would read that book. One comes away with the understanding that all faiths worship the same God
