"Call to Remembrance"

Lately I've been reading "Call to Remembrance" complied by Geoffry Marks and published by the Baha'i Publishing Trust in 1992..my copy is a reprint.

This book gives excerpts from the Baha'i Writings which are from the view or vantage of Baha'u'llah Himself on the events of His life story from His childhood early in the nineteenth century around the 1820's to His Ascension in 1892.

The book is well documented ...all selections are cited and have context with a sometimes a summary by the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith Shoghi Effendi. There's also a valuable chronology listing the Writings revealed and where they were revealed. A helpful Glossary and Bibliography are attached.

1611 version of KJ bible. As it has old english spelling it's not the eastiest of reads
Also reading all the lost and forgotten books that for some reason weren't included in the bible as well as ancient Sumerian texts and anything else old and forbidden

I am studying The Tanakh, using the following as supplements:

The People of Ancient Israel by J. Kenneth Kuntz
Some Answered Questions by Abdu'l-Baha
The Old Testament Story by John H. Tullock

Also, as an aside (perhaps as a practical application (?)) I am really enjoying Richard Russo's new novel, Bridge of Sighs.

I am reading the History of Wives by Marilyn Yalom.

While it isn't religious per say, it catalogs through history why women would get married, religion included.
