about reincanation
dear friends
how does one ensure a decent reincanation? do i have to follow 8 fold path, or the four noble truths? do i have to follow the 10 precepts? am i leaving lot up to chance? is there any guarantees in buddhism as there is for so called followers of jesus Christ? what if i live a bad life and convert at the end? is all forgiven or does karma dictate i come back as something less than perfect? thanx and peace |

Quote:
You can ensure a decent reincarnation, if you have a good character. Character counts more than anything else. And if you have a perfect character, you won't have a reincarnation, you will be enlightened and will attain salvation from the cycle of birth and rebirth. And what will happen to you in the next life will depend on the sum total of your positive and negative karmas. ![]()
