Bodily Assumption of Mary our Mother

Last week we celebrated the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary body and soul into heaven. Amen!

As our Mother is near and dear to my heart, I felt a little scripture, and tradition should be noted about this Dogma of faith. And also a prayer to God through Mary giving the Lord thanks for her assumption which prefigures ours in the end if we are in Christ.

[8] "Arise, O LORD, and go to thy resting place,
thou and the ark of thy might".--(psalm 132:8-9)

St Epiphanius is a early church father in the Late 300's and early 400's who spoke of Mary's assumption bodily into heaven. To paraphrase him, He says "how can she not posses heaven in the flesh since she had no sin".

Oh Mary, your Assumption show us the glorious foretaste of what all Christians await for those who remain faithful to your Divine son. Pray for us o Ark gilded by the Holy Spirit that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ and sit at his right hand with you praising him forever and ever, we ask this in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen!
