why are these religions here?
Maitreya`s is a new religion. my threads are based on His teachings.
However there are many Maitreya`s on the internet. the one i am talking about is at www.maitreya.org . These threads are based on the Eternal Divine Path. It is my belief that each religion has a message for humanity. I came to this conclusion when i began to study Maitreya`s first revelation: The Greatest Sign. The Greatest Sign is a yantra incorporating all the symbols of the major religions: Hindu, Jewish, Christian, Islam, Bahai. The yantra can be viewed without going into the main website if you type in: mission of maitreya the eternal divine path Each symbol represents a step that the human must travel to become one with God. Now you may say, well, other religions do this, and you would be correct. However this religion is different, it is a much faster journey along the Path and all the religions are united as you travel the Path. i will explain the symbol at the bottem of the yantra represents Hinduism and the mystical paths of all religions. This is the first step the awaking of mystical thoughts; you are aware of mystical things; you were asleep now you waken to the mystic. This was brought to us by the Hindu religion, and is the first step of the Eternal Divine Path. God has revealed each step as a religion, this clarifies why each religion was brought to earth. Each step with corresponding symbol and religion are explained. This will clairify any confusion you may have as to why any religion was brought to earth. |

dogma is an illusion
Anything that separates you from God is an illusion. there is nothing separate from God.. God is Everything
It is true then, here at Interfaith Forums we are One and making communities of light. Everyone here is a part of God and a part of ourselves. However, the term, The Communities of Light(COL) of the Eternal Divine Path is something different, and represents the second step of the Eternal Divine Path. i will explain: "and Noah builded an altar",(genisis)Once we have awakened the spirit and mystical path we will find that it is next to impossible live a spiritual life unless we have an environment that supports a spiritual life. This is very true even at different levels, because we needed those churches etc to keep us on the Path. On a deeper level Noah, built an alter for God`s choosen people. All though the old testament God is looking for his choosen people and this is why the Star of David is the second symbol and seal of the Greatest Sign. And this seal is also the seal of the Communties of Light. So the first step on the Eternal Divine Path is the awakening of the spiritual forces(the first symbol on the Greatest Sign), the second step is the creation of the Communities of Light(the second symbol of the Greatest Sign) COL do not exist anywhere yet. We, at the Mission of Maitreya are trying to build them, the basis of a COL which is 12 couples. The Mission of Maitreya explains in much greater detail on the website. |

Not everybody beliefs in god Maitreya
The name Buddha Maitreya is borrowed from different New Age beliefs who try to substantiate their claim to have the knowledge of the next coming prophet resurrection.
In fact we have to be more accurate in terms of historical sources and not to use it out of context. The prophecy of the next Buddha Maitreya is to be found in the Sutra section of Buddha’s authentic record, and is not to be confused with the prophecy of the Messiah found in the Bible. Any use of the historical record out of context is misusing and misleading those who read about it. We are living in a time where people take something here and there, something from everything, adding some personal stuff and make up a new belief, this is in fact the case with many presentations found in the web about Buddha Maitreya for example. Any mixture of the coming Buddha Maitreya prophecy with god belief for example Christianity is taken out of context and lacks careful scientific research.

Hello Drew and Dave, Lightkeeper:
From what I gather Maitreya is a concept widely held in various parts but the legends also can vary depending. Earlier than the concept of a Maitreya was I think a concept called "Saoshyant" which is found in Zoroastrianism. At least one scholar I read not long ago believed there could have been some Zoroastrian influences on the concept..Here is described the Saoshyant: "During the period which was the dark years of the religion the belief in a savior emerged. Gathic passages suggest Zoroaster was filled with a sense of the imminent end of the world which caused him to envision Ahura Mazda sending "a man who is better than a good man" (Y 43.3), the Saoshyant, literally meaning "one who will bring benefit," who will possess revealed truth and will lead humanity in the final battle against evil." Source: http://www.themystica.com/mystica/ar...saoshyant.html And see this article on "Maitreya" wikipedia: Where a reference was made to Zoroastrian influence: Some Zoroastrian ideas seem to have influenced the cult of Maitreya, such as "expectations of a heavenly helper, the need to opt for positive righteousness, the future millenium, and universal salvation", according to Paul Williams. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maitreya _________________________ For Baha'is Baha'u'llah is the Maitreya Buddha...however this isn't widely known outside Baha'i circles I think and the claim was made by Shoghi Effendi in a book called "God Passes By" p. 95 Copyright 1944. But I doubt there's any connection between the Baha'i view on this issue and the one referred to above or with Share International or with some theosophists. - Art

no Ben Creme
dear arthra
the Maitreya i was talking about was not the one from Share International but, not withstanding, is the Maitreya Mr. Creme(share international) was predicting to come in 1980, however is not the Maitreya according to Mr. Creme, who is still waiting(Mr. Creme). Maitreya, or Joseph Emmanuell was from Iran and now lives in New Mexico USA. Maitreya (the spiritual name) was given to Maitreya(he did not take the name)when he was with Meyer Baba(spiritual leader and prophet). After Maitreya left Meyer Baba, Maitreya had a vision that of which is now the Mission of Maitraya. At the same time Ben Creme was also predicting the Maitreya. |

Quote:
"Blessed are they that have soared on the wings of detachment and attained the station which, as ordained by God, overshadoweth the entire creation, whom neither the vain imaginations of the learned, nor the multitude of the hosts of the earth have succeeded in deflecting from His Cause. Who is there among you, O people, who will renounce the world, and draw nigh unto God, the Lord of all names? Where is he to be found who, through the power of My name that transcendeth all created things, will cast away the things that men possess, and cling, with all his might, to the things which God, the Knower of the unseen and of the seen, hath bidden him observe? Thus hath His bounty been sent down unto men, His testimony fulfilled, and His proof shone 35 forth above the Horizon of mercy. Rich is the prize that shall be won by him who hath believed and exclaimed: "Lauded art Thou, O Beloved of all worlds! Magnified be Thy name, O Thou the Desire of every understanding heart!"" (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 34) |
