Unsteady times ahead
Well folks, my family is going to moving over the coming weeks and as part of the transition internet service will have to be worked out. For the very short term we haven't done more than clean up around the edges but next week we will be moving in earnest. I had better be back before a month, and probably at higher speed (going from ~0.5-1mbps satellite downloads to maybe 5mbps DSL!) But I suspect I wont be around for at least a week....
Good luck and to us too! Merry Season's Greetings!

light has begun to dawn...
We're approaching normality as best we can.
My advise? REALLY try to avoid moving during the holidays. AND get a fully legal comittment from the phone company before you move into a new place to make sure DSL get's there because surprise! No DSL! Everything I checked on the web said yes, advertisers in the area are trying to sell it to members of the zip code, but -aaaaaaaaaaa- thanks for playing! I'm trying to find a back up plan. As a result I'll be here only infrequently until my dialup account get's setup with a second phone line.... And even then... dialup! argh!
