Aged Words
Aged Words
One day you will read,
in a literature text:
clutching it close,
filled with a million words.
You shall turn a lonely page,
an assignment you have.
And as sunlight creeps
through closed blinds,
in the background you'll hear
fellow lost minds complain.
You shall read on,
stanza by stanza.
My words, all others
have somehow used.
But my arrangement,
like a fine opera will
create a new definition.
A word, a phrase that will
change your outlook.
Words that shall make
your pretty eyes weep.
But it may, just may, be
worth every inkless well.
