Where Fantasies Were Sold;
The poem by Charles Nunnelly, made me think of my own poem thats kinda on the same subject as the one above...
By CJ 2005 Where fantsies were sold, How wonderful a place it was, Everywhere you could look Reality was nowhere near, Enjoying whatever you dreamed. Fun was all over the place, As long as you could afford it Nothing was denied your every wish. To have every desire of your heart And hide from reality, So pain could not come near, Into your comfortable space. Every night you drown in blissfulness, Sold the longings of your thoughts. Why would you ever wanna leave? Everything you ever wanted in sight. Right here at your pretty feet. Enjoyment for your lonely soul. Sold your fantasies, Only to escape reality Long gone from your view, Delayed from your actual life. By, Charlotte ![]() |
