Pranic Stage, Waking State, and Prehensive Reasoning

Prehensive Reasoning results in an interplay of a wave of Pre-consciousness with the Gross Essence parameter of being. Although represented as one general interaction, Prehensive Reasoning is actually composed of several sub-layers of interactions continually building off the successes of the previous stages. The defining general characteristics of Prehensive Reasoning are motion, combination and form. Manifestations associated with Prehensive Reasoning are generally termed as matter and the study devoted to these types of manifestations is generally termed physics.

In Integral Panendeism (IP) the theological context in which matter arises is the Pranic Stage of Being. Pranic is derived from the Sanskrit term prana meaning “breath”. Prana is what provides the physical world its vitality. In IP, prana represents the general stage of being where Spirit barely recognizes itself. It has more ignorance than knowledge; more force than power. The Pranic Stage of Being produces an energy field which is the gross essence of manifestation which in turn is the vitality of all such matter. Because this essence has its commonality in “Spirit-as-Prana”, the mystical apprehension of such is often known as Nature Mysticism. It is generally described as a connectivity with all of creation, a light of commonality that reduces the distinctiveness of material manifestations to their common Gross Essence.

When Prehensive Reasoning occurs, the realization of such is known as the Waking State. This use of the term will be a bit confusing at first, so realize the term Waking State is not necessarily the same as when human beings say “they are awake”. Waking State refers to interactions of matter. When sunlight reflects off of the lunar surface, that is a Waking State interaction. When infrared light does the same it is also a Waking State interaction. The affect of gravity is a Waking State interaction. In fact, for humans, the function of all five senses (sight, touch, sound, smell, and taste) are all Waking State interactions. Waking State interactions do not interpret their interactions, they only react to them. When an asteroid enters the atmosphere, the providence of the asteroid reacts to the providence of the atmosphere. The asteroid itself was influenced by the trajectory of its path influenced by the providence of gravitational forces it has encountered. The point being, is that the asteroid did not decide to smash into the atmosphere nor did gravity decide to move the asteroid on the path it follows. Rather they simply reacted to the interactions. In this same manner, we do not decide which senses we will react to in our Waking State, they simply are. We often call these interactions sensory-motor.

Let us try and apply this to the Hot Big Bang Model of physics. Remember, the purpose of the IP model is to incorporate bodies of thought, not to validate them. IP does not require the Hot Big Bang Model to be true, it only says that there is an interaction of consciousness and being at this level. The Hot Big Bang Theory is simply the latest attempt at being able to describe the manifestation of that level at this time. For arguments sake, let us say that the quantum field (QF) is the first discernable manifestation of Prehensive Reasoning. I personally think it may be something even more fundamental like Spin Networks but the overall scheme does not change much if such is true. I simply slide Spin Networks “underneath” the QF, which is what makes the IP model dynamic.

At this level our very first Proleptic Urge interaction of Pre-consciousness has an occasion (or interaction) with Gross Essence. This interaction produces a Prehensive Reasoning that eventually manifests as the QF. Once this QF is stabilized, the next wave of Prehensive Reasoning is able to stand on this new manifestation and leap towards a deeper quantity of Gross Essence (thereby acquiring more creative power) which allows it to manifest your favorite Unified Field Theory (UFT) (Superstrings, Quantum Gravity. Etc.), which when stable becomes the next platform for the Proleptic Urge to leap once again into deeper quantities of Gross Essence to further produce more complex manifestations, such as the four fundamental forces (gravity, electro-magnetic, strong and weak nuclear).

Each manifestation produced is essentially a sub-providence within the larger providence. At this level, when I say larger providence, I mean larger in terms of span and force, not necessarily depth and power. So, the four fundamental forces are providences within the larger general providence of the UFT which is a providence within the QF which itself is a providence within the Primary Matrix. The Primary Matrix is a spiritual concept, not a temporal one, so the Primary Matrix is not matter and therefore has no Providence but is rather the influence of Providence. Galaxies produce sub-providences of stars, stars produce sub-providences of solar systems, solar systems produce sub-providences of planets and asteroids and such. As this model demonstrates, Proleptic Urges have a certain point at which their ability to ascertain more depth reaches zero and they must leap into the depth of being to gain more power for creative endeavors. Certain planets, because of their proximity and interactions to other providences allow for such a leap in depth. These planets we call biospheres, and the manifestations within them will allow a recollection previously unimaginable.

At what point do you imagine involution (emination) stops and evolution starts? The quantum field, spin networks, the first quantum bits of matter, etc.?
