Who or what would have created a televangelist who warns a town because they voted out proponents of ID?

Could it be an alleged organized religion that goes virtually unchecked by it's own recognizance?

How can certain people (let's call them Christians) believe in a condemning God and not believe that this God would condemn the words of one Mr. Robertson? What were those two greatest commandments again, Pat?

I mean, it's not okay in today's world to pronounce that "God sends his messengers of liberation into the belly of the beast (America) to take out the Great Satan and bring jihad against the infidels (non-muslims)."

That sort of rhetoric we are willing to condemn. But say, "Because you're whole stinking town voted God out of it's existence, don't be too suprised when that disaster takes place and kills your sorry asses. Yeah, how you like Darwin's natural selection, now?"

That sort or rhetoric apparently some Christians can relate to.
If not at harmony with it, why not denounce it as a way of maintaining integrity and good will within the Christian coalition?

By the way, I voted for "other," cause I kinda sorta think it's "d - all of the above." At least it seems like it in this case.

Actually Pat Robertson is the result of a hierachal structure where people sit back and let one man tell them what to think. No one within his own organization questions him or criticizes him. Within that specific environment he has evolved into a person who is not only allowed, but encouraged to make senseless thoughless judgemental proclamations. And as long as he claims that he is speaking on behalf of God, no one can dare disagree. To disagree with Pat is to be against God.

Television created Pat Robertson. Not a single other thing promotes uncritical acceptance of bizarre otions. People sit in front of a television not to be informed but to be entertained. A large enough group of people found him "entertaining" enough.

Without this phenomenon the only other place he could have found such unthinking adulation would have been politics. If he had to stump every community in person his ego would still be within normal inflation pressure limits.
