Repressed Homosexuality

I have seen articles on repressed homosexuality. Do you think repressed homosexuality causes homophobia? Does is cause violence toward women? If homosexuality were accepted and people didn't have to repress it would this world be a better place?

No, I do not think that repressed homosexuality causes homophobia. I believe that a lack of knowledge or understanding causes homophobia. Also some are taught to be homophobes. Do I think there can be a relationship between repressed homosexuality and homophobia, absolutely. I think that can be one of a miriad of difficulties a repressed homosexual can have in life.
I think one side effect can be some violence toward women, however, it is not the prevailing cause of violence against women. Repressed homosexuals also can and have developed substance abuse issues, sexual addictions and other such things.

I think any time that people don't have to repress who they are, whether it be gay, Christian, ethnic, etc. that society is a better place. Notice I said who they are, not what they act like, this does not accept pedophiles (the vast majority of which are straight), nor substance abusers, domestic abusers, etc. Any time someone does not have to repress, they are healthier social members also.
