Is it pious to be niceous !!
Dearest Lovely Interfaith WonderPeeps,
Is it expected that if someone is a pious person who follows their gods laws etc that they are probably a nice person too ? I presume that the premise of a religion is to do good things and follow a way of life as laid down by God and this is inherently good is it not ?...please forgive me if I am mistaken and I look forward to being set right. Do the right thing and help me understand...

I agree that most faiths talk about love and respect for others, etc. However, as Lightkeeper brings up, sometimes you are put in a position of not being nice (perception of recipient) when one acts out of love. An example might be telling someone the truth they do not wish to hear, or that you know will cause them pain in some form.
