Your Last Thought

If your last thought determined where you would spend eternity, what would you want that thought to be? Would that make you more careful of what you thought?

Any thought could be our last, so I guess I wouldn't over guess it for myself. However, I will share my Dad's last communication...it will tell you where he is spending his eternity. He had spent the previous 7 days in the dying process (we did not know he had 3 to go yet) and he was doing a lot of reaching up, looking at something that we couldn't see, as a lot of people do. I asked him who or what he saw, and he said "Oh, it's just beautiful!" Of course, trying to learn something, I asked him more with no response...he never spoke again after that. But, that was ok with me! Who can argue with that?

Thanks Laura.

I personally think it would be unfair to have your eternity decided based upon your very last thought.

Bad people need just have one nice thogut before they quit the earth and nice people need just make one slip up at the end for their eternity to be not so nice.

I would like to think that if an afterlife exists then how you spend it is based upon your thoughts and actions during this life...make it a happy average !

At the end , I would not want the pressure about how my last thought should be, hopefully the love of my surrounding family and the effect I have had on their lives would help determine where I go.

I am not sure I really understand this concept. I can’t help but think about all those millions of people who die in a sudden horrific accident each year. I am sure that for the most part their last thought was something like – “oh s***!!!”.

So where would these people spend eternity?
