Bill O'Reilly and Christmas

Quote:
O'Reilly promised to "bring horror" to alleged "anti-Christian forces" who oppose Christmas
Summary: The Radio Factor host stated that he would "use all the power that I have on radio and television to bring horror into the world of people" who "diminish and denigrate the [Christmas] holiday."
On the December 2 broadcast of Fox News' The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly, host Bill O'Reilly stated that he would "use all the power that I have on radio and television to bring horror into the world of people" who "diminish and denigrate the [Christmas] holiday." O'Reilly singled out "oppressive, totalitarian, anti-Christian forces in this country" as those who seek to undermine Christmas, asserting that these "forces" are "on the run, because I will put their face and their name on television and I will talk about them on the radio if they do it." He later added: "There is no reason on this earth that all of us can not celebrate a public holiday devoted to generosity, peace, and love together," cautioning that "anyone who tries to stop us from doing it is gonna face me."

Do you have any thoughts on this? Is O'Reilly correct in his actions? Is Christmas being diminished and denigrated?

In his hate-list of anti-Christians, did he include the megachurches that have cancelled Christmas services on Sunday?

I'm still waiting for O'Reilly's apology that he promised when we invaded Iraq: "If we don't find weapons of mass destruction, I will apologize to the American people and never believe anything this adminsitration ever says."

I think he needs his meds adjusted.

"use all the power that I have on radio and television to bring horror into the world of people"--Sounds like a perfect example of Christian Terrorism.

Unfortunately Bill O'Rilley seems to have no concept that America is no longer a WASP stronghold. Doesn't he realize that there are people in America who are Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, New Age, etc. etc. etc. What about them?

Why is it that we can't have Christmas without making it into another place where the right wing just have to try to force their beliefs on others. He talks about the oppressive, totalitarian anti-Christian forces in America. What about the oppressive, totalitarian fundamentalist Christian forces? They are the ones who are whining and causing problems, no one else is.

I thought Christmas was supposed to be a time of peace and good will. Where's O'Rilley's good will? What peace is he helping to create?

i could really give a crap whether it says "Merry Christmas" or "happy Holidays" at a store.
as long as i can find Chanukah stuff i don't care, i'm secure and strong enough in my faith that it does not bother me

besides i'm moving to israel in a few years where there is no christmas
