Luck

Last night I was watching 20/20, and the title was "Luck: it is more than just chance" Is luck more than chance? Is it just coincidence? Can a person change their luck? Can a person control what luck does for them?

When my son's friend was visiting me, he brought news with him about my son stay in Iraq. He said that my son is lucky, some how he gets the "better" assignments or is weeded out from others. They even wrote an article on him (one out of 1500 soldiers), just becasue he happened to joke around and a reporter visiting, liked his personallity. Yes, for some not being able to know my son's life on a daily base it might seem to be coincedence, but when you see it happening over and over, there has got to be a reason.

Joel Osteen was on T.V. and I "happened" to come accross his show, it was on having the "favor" of God. Parking spaces upfront, 1st class service and so on.

I call it being blessed. My son is not an individual case in my family. My whole family is "lucky". Starting with my mother, all her kids and all my kids. My mother is an optimist. One thing we all have in common is the feeling of being loved, the outside just reflects what we feel inside.

I saw a review on "beating the odds in Vegas". They said one of the most effective methods, though they cannot explain why, is to project an aura of "luckiness". They took a novice at Blackjack and had him play $100 without "luckiness coaching", and he promptly lost all his money.

Then they coached him how to project "luckiness", from his attitude, to his posture, to his style of dress, and he promptly won. Not only did he win, but he changed the fortunes of the entire table which had been decidedly "unlucky" to that point. Now, I know there is such a thing as odds, and the disspasionate sense of randomness, but they seemed to have indicated this phenomenon seems to pan out more than not. Of course, people who do poorly might say they never really felt lucky, they were just trying to convince themselves. I don't know, could be something, could be nothing.

Another thing with my son and this validates what T.C. shared is that ther are 3 groups stationed where my son is each group being 500 people. In my son's group they had "only" 6 casulties compaired to the other 2 groups having 24 each.

That is some interesting stuff. Optimism seems to be a common thread, so then it should be that if you are optimistic then you are lucky. Right?

Yes, I believe it is your I AM being that creates your experience. The outside of you must validate what you believe to be true. How would it feel to be lucky? Blessed? Loved? Peaceful?
