I agree, do not judge according to this appearance of people, things and situations and you rise in awareness. A door then opens and the truth behind the appearance is shown to one.

^^ All of the above.
![]() Also, to not allow ourselves to filter our perception of others through our own ego, otherwise we're only judging ourselves.... ![]() "An object is perceived, or not perceived, according as the mind is, or is not, tinged with the colour of the object." — Patanjali - Sutra 4.17 "The habitual pattern of thought stands in the way of other impressions." — Patanjali, Sutras - verse 1:50 Peace, Love, & Light

Very true
Quote:
According to many physicists, the Universe only exists because we observe it. When we look away, the Moon and Stars all dissolve into a cloud of probability. Ceratinly, on my Path, we believe that we must observe and observe closely; the World is full of signs and wonders but only those who keep mindful and aware see things as they really are. One of the ways we keep our vision clear is to care less about appearance, and to see the connections and relationships between things, between the parts and the Whole. Anyone can look, but not everyone can see. "Be seeing you..."

Two people can look at the same view or person and see two different things....in other words we create our own reality by our mind set....we need to release all preconceived ideas and keep our mind open and only keep those that are a benefit to ourselves and the universe..then we will see things in a new light!!

Do you know the story of the Blind Men and the Elephant
Quote:
It is a very wise little tale, originally a Jain story, although it is embraced and used by the Parsees as well. (It may be that it is a Zoroastrian story that the Jains adopted; it's hard to say.) There were once 4 blind men who lived in a village. All their lives they had been blind and, of all the things they longed to see, the Elephant was the marvel they wished to know the most. They had heard many people struggle to describe the wondrous Elephant, but they could not imagine, exactly, what it must be like. One day, a passing king stopped in the village, and he rode upon an Elephant. When the villagers told him that there were 4 blind men there, who most wanted to examine an Elephant of all things, he gave his gracious permission that they be allowed to do so. One of the blind men approached the Elephant from the front, and encountered the trunk. "Indeed," he announced, "It is most clear to me that the Elephant is truly like a strangling snake!" One of the blind men approached the Elephant from the side, and encountered the leg. "No, No!" he announced, "It is most clear to me that the Elephant is truly like a a forest tree!" Another of the blind men approached the Elephant from the Side, but he encountered the masisve flank of the beast. "Are you fools!" he countered, "It is most clear to me that the Elephant is truly like a wall!" The last blind men approached the Elephant from the rear, and laid his hand upon the tail. "You are all wrong," he finally said, "It is most clear to me that the Elephant is truly like a broom!" As the king and his entourage left, the four blind men fell to fighting, pulling each other's beards and rolling around in the dust, each convinced he was right, and the others worng. "be seeing you...."
