Oh boy...... you're right. Thanks and sorry to everyone for the confusion!

I think there is a significant difference. If the mind was a computer, knowledge would be analogous to hard drive capacity and intelligence analogous to CPU speed. There can be a vast disparity between amount of one versus the other.

I agree M.T. We know where knowledge comes from, but where does intelligence come from? Can we become intelligent? Or are we _ _ _ _ out of luck, if we were not born with it?

I think it's possible to increase intelligence but easier and we're more likely to succeed at increasing knowledge. The likelihood of doubling or tripling intelligence is far less than doubling, tripling, or more, our knowledge. That just seems to me to be the way it is.

Yes it was a long chapter but did it make a dent? There's the rub. However, you wrote.

Quote:
Yes, ACIM talks about the "illusion" of the world. Infact it speaks of the physical world as a projection of the mind which believes in separation. If God is One and His Creation (Son) is a part of Him and shares that Oneness, then how can we truly be separate from Him or each other except in a state of delusion? If it were possible for us to be separate from the ALL, it would mean that a part of God split off and is now in opposition to Itself. That may be what we believe, but it does not make it true. Infact, the pain of doing this makes us realize, sooner or later, that there "must be a better way." ACIM reassures us that what we think we have done (perceive) is real only in our dreaming state from which we must awaken.

If the physical world is just an illusory projection of your mind, is there any reason to honor your body? Wouldn't it be better to just ignore it and maybe it will go away?

I'm curious from your ACIM understanding how you would interpret 1 Corinthians 6:

Quote:
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

How can we sin against that which doesn't exist? How can something that doesn't exist be the temple of the Holy Spirit? What do you think is meant by "your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?"
