I would support such severe punishment, especially if it was performed on children. And that includes male circumcision as well. But to answer your question, no the DoF never advocated such a revolting thing. Incidentally, we are no longer connected with them, but that's another issue entirely.

Folks, I've posted a reply to "Minerva" in her introduction thread (with ample proof of my assertions). The Daughters of Frya are an exposed hoax and do not exist. There's some very tentative evidence that there may be a few short-skirted girls running around La Grange claiming to be the DoF, but there's no proof that they actually practice as they claim.

Lots of people do not practice what they claim to practice. Some people exaggerate, and sometimes people intend to do something, and find that other things prevent them following through on their intentions (human knee joints may well be an example). It might be better, instead of just jumping in and criticizing that you listen to the other person and what they need, first.

Some people sincerely believe in things (for example Mormonism, Scientology, etc) that others debunk and consider hoaxes at best and con games at worst. Still, I think attacking them in this way is uncalled for.

I do not think that Minerva was about to make converts here; that isn't what this list is about. She has, so far, posted a bit about herself and her beliefs, and has asked a question (on a controversial topic, yes) that has raised a few hackles, but wherre the discussion is fairly civil.

I'm not attacking. I'm exposing the truth. If being hoaxed doesn't bother you, carry on. I do suggest you read the links I provided, however (in this post: Greetings Everyone! - InterfaithForums. Minerva isn't just exaggerating--she's lying about the entire faith she claims to practice and has for many years. She goes from forum to forum doing this. You're just the latest. She's even gone so far as to attempt to garner support from a white supremacist board.

When exposed, she giggles and claims "it was all in good fun" and skips away. She aims to make you another butt of an ongoing farce.

I have no interest in her beliefs. I don't have the correct set of gonads for one thing, and I do not see much other than polite interest and disagreement in the others posting to her.
