Has anyone read the book.....ESCAPE....CAROLYN JESSOP WITH LAURA PALMER
what a book.....I thought I would hate it and have no interest....could not be further from the truth...it is among the best bad books I think I have read... After having read it...I feel when they took the children from the Texas ranch they should have also taken the woman....then someone went in and deprogrammed the men....first thought after reading is how dare those men be so barbaric...then breath..and understand they to are products of there up bringing...and some I would think come through the behavior knowing it can not be valid to treat others as they do...then many jumped on the power and control wagon and figured to heck with proper or improper.... I so commend this woman in the book for her survival... anyone looking for a good book to read.....for me this qualifies....but it does something to you.... |

Your Welcome Rev.Kelly.....I wish you all the best for your vacation.....
I am surprised no one seems to have read this book... or is it that it is a untouchable subject.... let me know how you liked reading it ....should you find the time... the book was given to me to read by one of my customers...it sat for over a month...one of my other customers ask had i read it......i admitted...no....she said it was a good book...it set another week or so...i finally thought for heavens sake give it a chance....picked it up read the cover and really thought now i know i am not going to want to read this...i just had no interest...i am aware of these groups and how they live and did not fit it in my life as something i would deal with....inspite of...i read a few pages of the first chapter and did not wish to put the book down to do the things i needed to do....and am happy to have a shared knowledge of this one womans life journey....i hope and pray where ever she and her children are now that they are well and living a better life... kinda got carried away there... ![]() |
