Situation: Let's say that you had a neighbor across the street or a few houses down who lived through a house fire, particularly this time of year, that destroy almost everything they owned. What would YOU do? Be honest.

I would give them as much as I possibly could and start up a collection of money and belongings. Most of us have more than we need in household items.

No those of us who live in 28-foot travel trailers! But this actually did happen to a family in our park around last Christmas. About all we could do was collect money & food. Living in extremely limited space really cuts your options. My dinette table, for example, serves as my computer desk, and I usually eat standing up at the kitchen counter.

I guess I've taken Thoreau to heart: "Simplify, simplify!"
