I couldn't find any other thread like this. If there is I apologize. Do you believe we are in the end of days and why, or why not? I am not sure where I stand on this and I would like some more input before I draw any conclusions. Thanks!

mmm, good question ma'am. I like the agnostic take on this. That is, it does not matter to the extent that the only day's end which does is today's. It seems that there will be an end of days, like if the sun blows, but that may not be for a long time.

while I know people whom I would show the end of their days...

no--I don't think the end of the world is near...nor do I believe in the whole apocalyptic whatnot anyhow... though perhaps in a few million years the moon will fall away from the earth (seriously--it DOES move away from the earth) and cause the destabilization of erosive forces until eventually the sun explodes and engulfs the half the solar system--I don't think we (or our decendents for that matter) will be around to worry about it anyhow...

while I think that the end of the world as we know it is always a possibility, times change the world around us...it is a series of endings--and beginnings...

and why live in fear of something like that anyhow? I just like everyday like it counts...because you never get the chance to live it over

I think that the "end times" concept is a metaphor for an internal shift in consciousness. Sometimes before we hit a new spiritual or conscious level we go through turmoil. Also, life is tenuous, any day could be the last day.

I read somewhere that the second coming of Jesus was added to Christianity at a later date because that religion was struggling so much in the early days. It was to give people hope that things would get better.

Of course we are at the end of days. We can't be at the beginning of days and we can only identify the middle of days after we get to the end of days. All that is left is the end of days.

So interestingly enough. The Mayan calendar says that Dec 21st, 2012 is the end of days, the Bible Code says that and asteroid could hit us in 2012 and another source who has found an asteroid that is capable of destroying the earth will miss it the first time around but could cause terrible destruction in 2029 on the way back.

We are such a young society in the whole realm of the universe that for us we should be in the beginning of days.

I like what you said, I also believe it is like a circle of life, where there is no beginning, no real end, but transformations along the way. I believe we have always been in turmoil. Some turmoil affects our society as a whole, some just a family, others just a single person. We are always evolving and along with it fighting that which we know, that which isn't working, that which we are trying to change.

Hi, interfaithmom .
We are not at the end of our days .
Man is not close yet to their goals and until that time , Man will survive .
There always will be wars and the fear of the end coming soon , but it is not .

It is not only that Man has not reached their goals , but another factor as well , which also has not reached it's goal yet either .

So our children's children will live and love and enjoy life just as we have that ability to do now .

The reason the end isn't near is due to , if l may dare say it lol ,is due to our Creator and what He does , so we can survive .

He allows this Great Planet Earth to stay as it is with the wonders which include from the cute of an infant to the thunder of thunder and ofcourse the rest .

The calender of 2012 is not the end at all and it is silly for us to assume that, as we all know the end was last week ,,
,oops ,l told you , lol.

Seriously ,cancel your vacation you are
literally grounded to this planet Earth for many many years as the end is not in sight .

I hope this is good news for some of us or even all of us .
