Can someone famous grow?
On the other thread Angeleyes was commenting on deepak chopra saying he has a lot of wisdom on spiritual things. By the way, I do agree : )
I think he actually knows more than he is saying. I know it is a silly question to ask can someone famous grow, of course they grow too : ) But, let's say you are a famous medium and you have a large following and a T.V. show and you teach others how to receive messages from those that pass over and one day you realize (many awarenesse have lead up to this) that it is not the absolute highest truth for you any more. How difficult is it to leave everything behind? To face everyone and say..it's not it. just think: the money, title, fame and face. I can imagine some getting caught in this state and still continue in a lie. Maybe they will try to build a bridge. I can soo relate to this. From where I was when I wrote my first book to where I am now is a huge difference. Who knows where I will be tomorrow?...probably still on this forum LOL

Right Eolas?
I can see that with being a doctor too. I once dated one and even though he had a great income, title and reputation, he was unhappy with his job. He wanted to be a hourse trainer. But his father was a doctor and his grand father was a doctor. He put all his time into becoming a doctor, only to find that he would have rather been something else. But now he is trapped (or at least feels trapped). It is almost impossible for him to give up everything, face his family and friends and do what he really wants to do. I often think about Silvia Brown, John Edward, Wayne Dyer and so many other spiritual teachers and wonder if they are really sharing still their highest truth.

It is my understanding that it's not what you have or don't have, it's how you react to it. One doesn't necessarily have to give up things, but rather his/her attachment to the things.

LK, you have hit it right on the head, period!!
Not that i have had any experience in avoiding unwarranted attention or fans, but it does boil down to, selfless service. One lives, without expectations, the way one does simply because it benefits others and their mental and physical health! One with a gift shares it freely, as it came to them, with those who are ready to recieve it.
