I just came across this site after reading a question here about prophets etc
He speaks of this on his web pages and it is so "spot on" I hope its ok to paste a link FRIENDSHOME He just summed up what it is to be enlightened without all the BS and its the clearest I have seen Hope its helpfull

The FRIENDSHOME site has to be one of the most helpful and inspiring I've come across.
Melvyn is obviously speaking from experience, and uses words in such a way, that makes him stand out. He knows how to relay something we all are curious about, but sometimes become frustrated when it's described in such a way, that puzzles us. dpmduran
