Sexual healing

We've seen some very interesting posts re Stress and related problems. One thing that hasn't been covered is sex, How important do you think a full sex life is to the overall well being of body and soul ? does sex heal, or equally. can sex be a problem in itself, leading to stressful feelings and fear of failure etc ? Years and years ago, I was with a girl who couldn't say no day or night, in the end I got so high, I stopped sleeping and started suffering health problems, we broke up shortly afterwards. Too much is as bad as none at all in my opinion.

Regarding too much or too little, I would say that would depend on what the emotions were that went with it. If you truly love someone and it's mutual and you both feel safe with each other quantity wouldn't matter.

What about all of those millions of monks and other "holy people" that are celibate and chaste, and are quite healthy. Taoist monks and priests come to mind here. They are some of the most healthy people I have ever met, yet sex has no part in their lives.

I very much regretted losing her, and still do, I've seen her on a number occasions after, but Claire never really forgave me.

Hi MV,

I think it is quite possible to do so with a different mind set, but today in the West, we are constantly chided by the media to have more and more. And that there is something wrong with us if we don't.
I find the pressure placed on us by the media causes stress in this area.

Than the problem isn't sex. It's the media.

I think that there is much truth in that. It isn't as if sex is anything new, but as you know, sexual imagery is as much a part of commercial advertising as is anything you care to mention.

Big buisness has a lot to answer for !

Best
