10,000 short

It has been reported that the UK is some 10,000 trained Mental health professionals short of what is required to treat the ever increasing numbers of depressed and anxious patients.

If you require to see a psychologist through the National health service, you may well have to wait up to one year, and in some area's, even longer.

It seems to me that depressive illness and anxiety are increasing yearly, mainly I believe due to the social pressure of paying your way in an ever more expensive and unstable society.

Cheers

Ian

Maybe, just maybe, it might be time for nations all over to start treating the cause rather than the symptoms, don't you think? Commonalities CAN be found.

Couldn't agree more Rev, and they can start by having a real war on poverty instead of just more spin. It's a fact that poverty in West is increasing along with all its social ills. Charity begins at home, so I say let's get our own houses in order before trying to change the world.

Fairness and equality for all.

Cheers
