Ian,
It may be a possibility that you suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)....your body may well require winter sun I quote ....."As seasons change, there is a shift in our “biological internal clocks” or circadian rhythm, due partly to these changes in sunlight patterns. This can cause our biological clocks to be out of “step” with our daily schedules."............Have you ever considered this ? Vitamin D is essential this time of year and getting out to get as much sunlight as possible will help you. failing that, there are ' light boxes ' which will help you immensely...there is a lot of info on the web about it. Of course, if you're not SAD then forget what I just said...BUT, I have this yearning for the sea too....I so want to live there. The good thing about being here in the UK is that we are never more than 72 miles from the coast....which is nice !!
