Do you use ANY alternative medicine?

Studies show that the US is the most medicated country in the world. My question is, do you ever use alternative medicine (like herbs, teas, acupuncture, and so forth) INSTEAD of traditional medicine, to treat what ails you?

Most definitely! I am not a big fan of pharmaceuticals - especially since they tend to treat symptoms rather then address what belies the symptom. I lie essential oils, Bach flower remedies, alternative healing modalities such as Zimbaté, polarity therapy, color and sound, and herbs, and stones - as well as massage. I personally have not experienced acupuncture, but witnessed it with my dog and was amazed at its results! All of these I have used or seen used with animals and seen amazing results! --- the Beauty of this is, with the animals you do not see a placebo effect- it works or does not work!

Wouldn't dream of it (unless it were a nighmare).

I use herbs and homeopathic medicines, or as my kids refer to them "balls of sugar".

I prefer herbs to the chemically manufactured alternatives. I find them to be more gentle and have less side effects.

I also think light therapy and aromatherapy are wonderful alternatives.
