Are we in denial about the threat of Aids? What are some of the precautions we can take?

Hmm...abstinence, monogamy or safe sex?

I think that because it's not in the news like it was in the 80's and 90's we have let it go by the wayside...unless it affects our lifestyle.

I have often wondered about something though...In the time when it was first discovered and named...many gay men were quite promiscious (remember the baths)...and penicillin was used quite freely for any STD...could that have lowered the defenses on these men and possibly made the disease as prevelant as it is?

That's a possibility, but remember how virulent the virus is in Africa. And it started in Africa as I believe a heterosexual disease.
