About The Interfaith Sermons Forum

This is an opportunity for us to create our own interfaith sermons. We can start with a topic and everyone can comment on it from their own perspective, whether it be religion or secularism. Feel free to start your own topics.

Sermons must be in your own words and you can reference any quotes. Try to keep your comments to a paragraph or two.

Taoism

would this be a group project? or are we each writing an individual sermon on the same topic ?

What are a list of of topics we could write on ?

Where do we post these sermons ?

Yes, this would be a group sermon. Each person comment on a topic from their own perspective.

You start a thread in this forum. You can start any topic you want to start.

I know this thread has been left dormant for some time, but I find it particularly intrigueing to me right now. On the most recent national day of prayer, I had a discussion with a Christian about why non-Christians were noticeable absent from the celebration. And just today, I had a discussion about interfaith prayer with a Christian, and it was pointed out to me that God would ignore any prayer that is not offered through a faith in Jesus Christ. So, I would like to have some help in developing a sermon on interfaith prayer. Thoughts? --Steve--

I guess first those participating would have to agree on what prayer is, and who God is.

Then people would have to agree, that people of other faiths are allowed to offer up the prayers, etc.

Hmm. You are probably right. Perhaps that is why this thread has lain dormant for so long, eh?

Why don't you just start a sermon on interfaith prayer? But, not in this thread start a new thread. I think it's a very good idea for a sermon and you could start with what you have already said about it.

What I meant by group project is one member writes a sermon and other members can comment on it.

I'll think it over and perhaps give it a try. Thanks for the idea. --Steve--
