I appreciate your approach but please note that the followers of any perticular religion should have a label otherwise how will you be able to distinguish between followers of Bible and Qur'an?
Yes their are similarities between Bible and Qur'an but their are also differences. Yes Islam wants us to keep our identity as "muslims" but Islam doesnot want us to isolate from Jews,Christians or followers of other religions.
