Artificial Intelligence

In July 2003 a paper was published by an IBM scientist in the proceedings of International Conference on Conceptual Structures in Dresden, Germany. The title of the paper was "Anological Reasoning" - A highly advanced research topic linked with Artifical Intelligence concepts used in sophisticated computer programs.
The author credits the Islamic Scholar Ibn Taimiya as the significant contributor to the development of logical reasoning. In fact the whole reasearch paper deals with the methodology employed by Ibn Taimiya. After 500 years this great scholar's work is playing a vital role in the development of highly sophisticated computer software.
Unfortunately Muslims who should have capitalised on the scholarly work of this great scholar are today relegated to a status of mere spectators.
