Freedom of expression or respect for Religion

The cartoon issue of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) that generated resentment
in the muslim community is justified by the Western people as a part of freedom of expression or action and they believe that every individual in the West
has right to express his or her views or opinion.

Now my question is that should the freedom of expression be supported inorder to justify an attack over any religious or spiritual personality?

In which Western constitution does it says that every individual has the right to humiliate or verbally attack any Prophet or Messenger deeply respected and believed by a perticular community?

Is there any difference between freedom of expression and respect for others religion?

In the Constitution of the United States of America, there is the First Ammendment, which reads like this:

Quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
from:LII: Constitution

Now, you have the right to believe whatever you wish and establish a religion to express those beliefs, but others have the right to disagree with you. If those that disagree choose to do so through a cartoon, they can. But if you feel that your freedom of religion was breached, you can take the cartoonist to court and sue them for that.

As far as the right to believe is concerned, it doesnot have anything to do with insulting others religion. If you want to believe any perticular religion that is your choice and your wish.If I am a muslim and believe in my religion Islam but if I go ahead and dare to insult any religious personality like Buddah,Guru Nanak or etc, then it shows that I donot respect others religion which can even make the people think that I am intolerant towards there religion.

As far as US Constitution is concerned,it even allows different communities having different faith in US to practice there religion and they even allow preaching of religion.

But the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was made by the Danish News Paper Editor and the Danish government supported him and justified the making of cartoon.
