Yom Yerushalayim - Jerusalem Day
Today marks the 41st comemoration of the unification of Jerusalem by the IDF during the Six Day War in 1967.
It marked the return of jews to the Old City, and to our holiest site, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall after jews were forced from the city by Jordan in the War of Independence 1948. There are celebrations held throughout the country as well as the recitation of Hallel, Psalms of praise, in Synagogues around Israel and the world. here is a link to the song "Yerushalayim Shel Zehav - Jerusalem of Gold" YouTube - Yerushalaïm shel Zahav and a link to a brief history on this day: Yom Yerushalayim - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
