Vivian Amis

1. Where do you live (you can give a general area)?

Tampa, Florida

2. What do you do for a living (job discription, work in the home, or own a business)?

Homemaker, Author of The Essentials of Life, Teacher of Spiritual Consciousness

3. Are you married or single?

No. LOL I live with my Life partner of so far 10 years.

4. Do you have children? If so how many?

Yes. I have 4 children and 1 step son. My children are 7, 15, 22 and 28. My step son is also 22.

I have shared a lot about me and my personal life here on the board (my life is an open book : ) but one thing many don't know is that I actually have an education LOL I have a business degree in import and export. I think it is simular to a broker's licence here in America.

And that's not all, I am also a .......... guess LOL

Because I am in the wedding business, I must ask, if you have lived together for 10 years, why not get married?

If this is not too personal, was it difficult to integrate your life partner's child with your children to make a family? I will understand if you choose to decline answering this one.

Like I said...my life is an open book. There are some things I might feel uncomfortable talking about, but I look forward to uncovering all my unconscious beliefs.

So, to your questions : ) (and thank you for asking)

No, I am not a giraffe nor a psychologist. I am a hair dresser. I went 3 years to school to become something I never wanted to persue. I graduated from 9th grade in Germany at the age of 15. I actually wanted to be a midwife, but had to be 18 to be accepted. A friend of mine was going to school to become a hair dresser, so I thought it would be fun to do it together.

We have not gotten married yet, because nothing is missing in our relationship. There is nothing that could be added : )

I (we) not only integrated his son but also his ex-wife. LOL I know what you guys are thinking, but that is not how it is. His son stayed with us for awhile, but spent mostly the weekends and vacations with us. My partners ex-wife lives just 15 minutes from us. My youngest calls her Mom too and my kids love her. We are good friends, talk often on the phone and do a lot together. My step son lives now in New York since the beginning of the year and is persuing his acting/modeling carreer.

You know, I did that too. I have never been licensed as a hair dresser, but I took the classes in high school as electives. I figured if I couldn't find anything else, I would have an income.

I can understand your position on marriage, I was just curious.

I think it is refreshing to see a family who unites steps and ex's and finds away for everyone to get along. There is way too much fighting in the world.

Over the years cutting hair has put many times food on our table.

I see ex's as a part of us, they make up who we are. When kids are involved it becomes even more important to leave the past in the past. It was easy to integrate my partners ex. She was willing as I, to step out and make it work, in the end we both feel blessed as our family has grown larger and stronger.

What is your favorite color?

What inspired you to write your book?

I can't say that I like one color more than another.

I used to have visions and people that had passed on appeard to me. In 2000 my brother died and 2 years later for the first time in my life I meditated in hopes that I could make a conscious connection to my brother. Instead of my brother appearing to me...Jesus appeared to me and I was asked to return the next day at the same time. This went on for about three months. In meditation I asked questions and during the day my attention was guided to certian things and I received insight to these appearances. During one of my meditaions Jesus asked me to write a book, I was told the title and to my question:"Where do I start?" Jesus replied:"From the beginning". I had no clue how to write or what to talk about. So I started what I thought was the beginning: from my childhood and upbringing, to my mystical experiences, healings and everything I experienced throughout the three months of going through the "transformation".

Yet not until the book was finished did everything come together and I received the full understanding of taking "No thought".

OK, I will admit that I have cheated and read your book, which is great. Thanks for sharing the inspiration behind it.

You have mentioned in various threads that you give spiritual classes. Do you go out and find places to give them or are you invited to the places?

Is there a typical person who is attracted to attending your classes?

Hi Vivian! Can you tell us a little more about what Jesus said to you? Was there anything he said that surprised you?

Also, do you have any special interests or hobbies (i.e. gardening, knitting, race car driving? )
