This is a blog written by my son, Robert.
I share it.
I Believe In God
But I have my own way of explaining what God is.
I like to explain it like this.
Imagine a mirror. A simple mirror. You look into it and your own face looks back. Now imagine that mirror was shattered into a million, billion little pieces. Each little piece would be its own shape, with different jagged edges and different sharp points and dull...

I took my wife to see Maureen Hancock a local psychic the other evening. It was an enjoyable evening which I recommend regardless of what you believe about psychics and the next life.
Maureen made a comment that evening, which I’m not one hundred percent sure I remember correctly but the gist of it was; all the young people who come through always say that dead doesn’t mean gone, only different.
Personally I believe in an existence that follows this one, although...

“JUST BELIEVE”
One of my favorite television shows, which I never saw on television, is “Firefly”.
My oldest son gave me the DVD collection one Christmas.
I purchased the follow up movie, “Serenity”.
It is from “Serenity” which I am going to borrow a couple of quotes.
“I don’t care what you believe in, just believe.”
These are the last words spoken by Shepherd Book, a wandering Holy man. “I don’t care what you believe...

I friend of mine, the Rev Stephen, once told a story and I adapted it into a sermon. I now recycle and re-adapt it once again to share with you:
There was this person who visited Niagara Falls. Standing at a distance this person could see the great separation of the falls and experience the exciting but frightening power that it contained, but from a safe enough distance so not to be uncomfortable.
While watching, it was noticed that there was a man walking above...

Letting my mind wander.
I was thinking how evangelicalhumanist (EH) and I differ on our beliefs of the beginning, or lack there of, of existence. Then I got thinking that maybe we don’t differ as much as I originally thought.
I have stood firm that there was a beginning to this existence and that beginning was created by God. EH has said that there was no beginning and that existence always was.
Then it hit me, I have said that God was at the beginning....
