“JUST BELIEVE”

One of my favorite television shows, which I never saw on television, is “Firefly”.
My oldest son gave me the DVD collection one Christmas.
I purchased the follow up movie, “Serenity”.

It is from “Serenity” which I am going to borrow a couple of quotes.

“I don’t care what you believe in, just believe.”

I friend of mine, the Rev Stephen, once told a story and I adapted it into a sermon. I now recycle and re-adapt it once again to share with you:

Last night there was no game but there was a concert at the stadium, Jason Aldean, a country singer.
I don’t normally listen to country & western (C&W); I grew up on the rock & roll of the 50’s and 60’s. But it was an enjoyable concert. I did listen to country when I was stationed at Ft Hood,...

A man falls in a hole –

- Christian version:
YouTube - A Man Fell in a Hole

- Atheist version:
A guy walks along a dirt road and happens to fall into a deep hole.
A Catholic happens to be walking by and says, “You’ve fallen into a hole. That’s a shame. You must have done something wrong and God is punishing you.” So he leaves.
A Protestant happens to be walking by and sees the guy in the hole. “Providence...
