I dont personally have children...but this is just a thought...'new age' is such an astronomically broad term that is applied to everything from nazis to gardening. Perhaps a particular topic would be better to get an answer...such as indigo children or animal totems or jungian theory.
Are you looking or childrens books as in pleasure reading or for research into differnt types of theology? Just a thought...let me know how it works out. Wendy

Unity Churches have bookstores. They would be your best bet for finding Children's New Age books. You might also try the UU bookstores.
Are you thinking of writing some books, Maggie?

If I were a parent, Rinpoche Chogyam Trungpa's "Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior" would be one that I would try to appropriate in the right time and context. It is an english language book, by only certain means new age, but worth considering for its merit.
Other titles which were like, when read, rights of passage for me, personally: Paulo Coelho's "The alchemist", Herman Hesse's "Siddartha", and 'the little prince'. |

I know this is rather an old thread, and I don't have children. However, here are a few books I think would be great. Here are a some ideas: a gemstones or healing stones book an aromatherapy book for kids an simple herbal book with pictures to help them i.d. the plants an intro book to reiki a dictionary of new age terms and words Good luck, Fortuna ![]()

"New Age" is really broad...
Well i don't know about new age but here are a couple of books that i bought for my small children.
The widows broom by:Chris Van Allsburg This is a charming book about an old woman who does a kindness for a witch and in return is given the witches broom. It shows witches and magick in a very gentle and charming light. The Rainbabies by: Laura Krauss Melmed Is the story of an old couple that finds twelve thumb size babies after a moon shower. They protect the babies from hazards born of water, fire, earth. When the babies mother, in disguise, offers them great riches they refuse. In the end Mother Moonshower takes the babies home with her so they can grow properly but leaves a beautiful child to fill the couples days with joy. My children loved these books and i hope that others will too. Of course there is always the old classic, "The velveteen rabbit" which is also enchanting. Hope this helps!
