Hello all!
Hi I've just signed up for this incredible community. I really believe in dialogue and co-operation between the faiths; it is one of the building blocks for future world peace.
I was raised a Roman Catholic until I began to question some of the doctrine. I left the church to become a seeker of truth. In my encounters with other faith traditions I was able to fill the gaps, as it were, in my belief system as the beliefs of others gave me fresh insights into my own. I was also inspired with their devotion to their religious traditions and their piety, particularly among the Muslims I met. This encouraged me to practice religion more dilligently and I am now a proud Catholic again, albiet with unorthodox understandings of doctrine influenced by other ideas. Pleased to be part of you! Welcome... i too, was raised Catholic. As i grew older and started to study the religion, history, and doctrine, i began to question everything. Im also still Catholic, but going to a protestant church, an have very unorthodox beliefs haha. Youre not alone...

Hey Mattew! Welcome to this forum. I too am cathlic, but don't go to church anymore. My beliefs have changed from what the cathlic church teaches, but I value my upbringing and the foundation that the cathlic church layed for me : ) Thrilled to have you here!
