I have joined this group because I have always enjoyed interfaith sharing. A previous church I attended had a service once a year that invited the leaders of all the faiths in our city. Priests, preachers, Rabbis, Imams and others would each give a sermon. This was something I always looked forward to. I just recently read an excellent book titled "The Faith Club". It was the combination of three women's journals that they kept as they met with each others once a week for three years to share their faiths. One was a Jew, one was Christian and one was Muslim. This is not a fictional book . I wish everyone in the world would read that book. One comes away with the understanding that all faiths worship the same God. I have always said that "God speaks to us in ways we can understand , therefore ; different faiths for different countries and cultures.
I'm looking forward to sharing and learning. Peace Billie |

Welcome Billie and thank you for sharing the story about your city and the book. I think it is a great concept to know there is only one God and all are worshipping the same God, no matter what an individual may call "it". I look forward to reading your posts : )

Welcome, Billie! Glad to have you here! I like what you said about bridging the gap between different faiths - I think Lightkeeper has created a wonderful forum that is attracting people who are interested in doing just that. I look forward to your posts!
