A Rastus Hello

Oh Gee, another ‘introduction’. Hahaha, I’ve written a few over the years. And yet, my intro seems to change rather frequently. What I would have posted 3 years ago, absolutely has no meaning to me anymore. Even 1 year ago would be iffy, as I lived 2500 miles from where I am now.

I gave my life to BE the person I am at this moment. I think it was worth it. How I got here was my own dang fault, but then I wouldn’t be where I am otherwise. I wouldn’t change anything, I wouldn’t BE the me I currently am.

You can’t really put a label on who I am. I didn’t follow any of the ‘normal’ routes. I was not raised in any religion. My grandparents would drag me to catholic church a few times a year, but it didn’t interest me at any age. I didn’t seek out a formal church until I was 38 years old, a Unity church, not exactly one of the ‘biggies’. It was a very loving and caring church. It was funny, most of the people that attended the church were openly of other faiths, but liked it there, very unusual I’ve found. I spent a year there, doing sound at services and the odd wedding. And I walked away from it, it simply wasn’t for me. I kept waiting for something, and it never came (in hindsight I already had it).

I am very spiritual, and have been since I was 10 or 11? Joys of some talents I suppose. My life has really been one long coincidence, in hindsight it’s obvious. Yes, there’s a lot of hindsight at work, it helps me stay balanced. There are a number of people in my life that it seems like I have known forever. This makes some things very easy, and other things very hard.

My passion revolves around Teaching. I am an excellent Teacher. I tend to work mostly 1-on-1 and in small groups. I find it very difficult to be specific in a large group, there is a lack of common background and verbiage. The bigger the group, the more general the teaching, and the less specific the impact seems to be. Ask 20 people to define ‘God’. Now ask them to define ‘Source’, or better yet, ask them to define ‘source’ first. You get the idea, makes it more challenging when everyone has different definitions. That’s why I tend to use stories, analogies, and parables. Those translate better I think?

So Hi and Namaste.
-Bryan
