I have a couple of questions, Minerva.

1. Will these women ever get married?
2. What happens when one gets older and has a problem doing 1200 deep knee bends a day.
3. Six hours a day sounds like a lot of time for this activity. How do people maintain jobs and keep up their homes etc. after spending this amount of time doing knee bends? Doesn't this eventually wear out the knees?
4. What is the main purpose of the group?

1. No, the vows are for life.
2. If done properly the exercises strengthen the knees so this problem doesn't really arise.
3. Even with jobs people have at least 6 hours to spare each day. There are no family matters to attend to. Some of us are supported by our community.
4. To dovote ourselves to Frya and channel the Spirit of Wr-alda through ourselves and back to the earth, to heal it and make it fertile.

Just to let everyone here know, the Daughters of Frya ("Famna" is the name of their alleged individual groups) are an admitted hoax. Here's the link to their previous website:

Daughters of Frya

That last link also contains links to The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum. That's where I originally "met" the Daughters of Frya. I've been debunking them since at least 2005, when I discovered the picture they claimed was of their new initiates was actually that of a high school tennis team. The website Religious Tolerance spotlighted this particular point: NEO-PAGAN RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS

Sorry these folks are trying to pull one over here, too. Interfaith forums are too few and far between!

Brina

[edited to add] I thought some of you might like to see the a screen capture of the tennis team picture: http://home.wavecable.com/~yewberry/frya.jpg
