Can Truth be Known?

Hi Mooskee,

Got your message, so here I am. Your kindness is appreciated and it is such a valuable quality.

Mooskee--Can Truth be Known?

What a great question. Well, I say yes, the truth can be known and it is revealed each day to us.

Truth is revealed to us in the beauty and fathomless cosmos and nature.

Truth is revealed by the actual proof of our religious practice, both physically and spiritually. If we are not seeing actual physical material proof then we are not practicing correctly or we are practicing the wrong faith.

Wrong faith being subjective. The wrong faith practiced at the right time = no results. The right faith practiced at the wrong time = no understanding. The wrong faith practiced at the wrong time = chaos and devastation. The right faith practiced at the right time = awesome results.

There are many paths to the Truth, IMHO, and Truth = G-d = Truth.

It is a very subjective process.

All of us may have different faiths at different times. This collective knowledge, hopefully, leads us to the Truth and what is a correct practice for us at the correct time.

Consider Polyvalent logic. This is where many, ideas, theories, experiences are all true and valid simultaneously.

IMHO, if we look at a doctrine with logic and reason, understand it for what it is (truth or parable), then it cannot help but strengthen our faith and confidence.

The path to the Truth is a lifelong journey, it is what we make, beautiful or terrible for some.

Mooskee, what a thoughtful question and I am looking forward to the opinions of others.

Warmest regards, Fortuna

Thank you for your reply.
In this troubled world we live in it is nice to get recognition even if it is in a forum with strangers it is rewarding .
My concern is with truth and what it really entails.
Real truth the one that hurts like wisdom but it involves our very self when we face truth.
Hard to do and difficult as we shield that which hurts us .
And our individual truth of ourself can hurt dearly as we discover our true being for what we are and may be .
When l look at our children and their pure innocence l see truth in a way that is pure yet hard to conceive for so many and this truth is kept at a limit to protect our children from harm in an emotional way that we feel will hinder their future if we tell them all truths at their tender age so some truths are not told ,yet we all believe that truth is best ,yet in the whole picture it may be best but it is not presented this way, for goodness in the protection aspect of our children .
On the other hand if truth was to mean that the end was presented in those truths would truth be the best way for all , knowing that truth would destroy us all ?
We know that we cannot say all truths to our kids so then maybe truth is not to be told as in the whole picture in this Great Planet Earth truth is only in concept and this is beacuse truth cannot be told yet as it will change so much that it cannot be told and it is this way today .
If truth was known as truth today we would all know and there would be no use for faith as truth would be known so perhaps truth cannot be known and it isn't , for a reason .
This reason, is in a truth that is not comprehendable today or we would know and we don't.
And if we did know we could not present it, as we would know what it would cause ,and it is of Biblical proportions the devestation from the truth if known .

Suppose you knew a truth that if you told it , it could even end the world ,,would this truth be best for man knowing the result if told ?

EDIT .. you could ask .." what truth could end the world ? " but that question is not about what if the truth was known but that question is just about doubt and evades the real truth of truth

We are living in a world with many scientists and people saying the end is near in 2012 whatever and if this did happen who would be alive to acknowledge the end and then even if we went to Heaven or some astral plane or whatever is that okay if we were good and had nothing to do with the end and just lived normal nice and caring lives what would we care if the end did come as long as we were good here on Earth it would not matter when the end came.
The end as most Religions say will come from man and if man knew the truth of when the end was to come and his revealing this date say would in fact cause the end then the end could be caused by the truth and this is could be a reality .
The Antichrist say , has a way of being good yet in his goodness the end prevails and this concept is real Bible or no Bible and it is scary but a reality.
There is so much going on and not comprehended as it says and this is so real and so far away from regular people that it is not even in near concept of reality .

Lightbulb Truth

Hi there Mooskee
Whew! what a deep thinker you are.

It is my opinion that there is no end of the world, first of all. Life changes form into the spiritual and it is one long continuum.

To me Truth = G-d and G-d Truth. If we live lives of truth then I believe we are living as G-d would have us live. The thing that He abhors most are lies.

"Hail, Neba, who comest and goest, I have not uttered lies." from the Papyrus of Ani.

I think we can find ways to tell a child the truth without damaging them. Or, we can simply put the truth off until the child is old enough to understand and not be frightened of it.

Personally, I think telling a child the truth with love and support is always the right thing to do.

If the truth were to end the world, then I believe it is G-d's will and who is to say He cannot create it all over again.

When writing on these forums, I have been challenged many times. Oh, not out right, but in a subtle manner. I welcome this as this brings me closer to the truth of myself and the world around me.

Love your posts. Blessings, Fortuna
