A Prayer is needed. -
28th August 2007, 11:36 PM
This is surely not a debate or discussion thread but l wanted to share this with my friends here at this fine Site and ask for a request of Prayer .
Just now l was informed that my dad 84 , was in a tragic car accident as is not going to make it . This has floored and devistated me today and l am very hurt . My family wants me to go stay with him now today 3500 miles away . I have just moved in here to my new place and have adjusted and this request to go back home and live with my dad alone until he passes soon is quite a shock and has me devistated as what l should do .
Please pray for my dad and give me strength and courage to get through this unexpected reality .
Sincerely ,
mooomooo

I'm so sorry to hear about this mooomooo. No one can tell you what to do. I offer my prayers and good thoughts to you and you father. Are there any family members closer to him than you are?
This is just my two cents worth, but I think it's a bit much to ask you to go live with him. I think a visit is in order if you can afford it. It would be best if all family members were involved in this and not put the whole thing on you.
Keep us posted. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Mooomooo, my prayers are with you and your father. I guess I would ask myself what purpose would it serve for me to live there. i would agree with LK if you can afford to visit him that might be in order. You must delve into your heart and ask what is the best for all involved. You can pray for your father and send him love and respect no matter where you are. Is your father asking for you to come? These are some things you can ask yourself. It is a hard decision but my prayers are with you and whatever decision you make will be the right one. Peace, Love and Light to you. I see you and your father in your most perfect light!!

Lightkeeper and vivamis123 . I am a retired emergengy RN an dl am waiting for a left knee replacement now and home most of the time doing my work from here . Everyone in my family back there is working full time . They are all Teachers . I am the only one with the time and skill to give my dad 24\7 "total care" and also able to be in his home 24/7 with him .
I took my daughters's animals when l moved in here this month because she just moved and cannot have animals , Smokey the cat , Genna the cat , and Genna's 4 one month old kittens .
A true unexpected horror for me . I must make a decision now .
Thanks for your reply . it surely helps as l face life today as it faces me "straight in the face " again .

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
In the Lore I follow, it is a work of the greatest merit to be with the Dying, and to ease their passing. I hope your father's journey is a peaceful for him and for you as it may be.

Your welcome, Mooomooo. You are a very spiritual person. I know you must have much confusion and conflict inside you. Release all thought and open your mind asking God to supply you with an answer that is in the best interest of you and your father. Open yourself up to your good and your fathers good and you will recieve it. Look for the answers and you will find them.

Thanks .
Right this moment l am waiting for my daughter to arrive here as l have been trying to track her down . She does not know yet .
Thank you all for your words and prayers . This is most difficult for me as l fight the tears yet also want them to do their thing and surely l will have a pounding headache soon if l continue to allow my tears however l know it best for me to let it out .
Headache coming up and l assume it comes with the territory .
My God what an unexpected horror .
Thanks again for your words .
