Is God An Underachiever?

Quote:
If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the worst that you can say about him is that basically he's an
underachiever.
Woody Allen

What do you think?

Cross Gods not an underachiever,

He just didn't make the world as perfect as some people thinks He should have.

Sounds like something Woody Allen would say!

Of course, one could always say that our perception of God is what is too limited. I think that's probably closer to the truth.

If one were to believe....

that God created duality ...maybe. But I believe that since God is a spirit, God could have only gave of "himself" ....spirit. If that is so then he did not create the physical realm, this world and/or the universe or anything we can see with our physical eyes. And if "he" did not create it who did? Maybe that is why our prayers/questions/manifestations are only answered as we believe them to be answered. God IS I am....what ever that is or what ever we believe to BE. The underachievers are we humans trying to comprehending with our human minds, all possibilities.

God isn't the under achiever. God is universal mind, energy, pure love..all that is a result of this pure love is good. This God is in all. Human forms are the underachievers because they fail to recognise the godself within them and live up to their potemtial..but on the other hand even though it may not appear to others, everyone is striving towards this knowledge and oneness and making some kind of progress.... so ..

Wouldn't it be equally valid to assume that God is universal no-mind, not energy, and is actually pure hatrad? And that all that is a result of this pure hatrad is bad? Are you not chosing and projecting mind, enegry, pure love, and goodness onto God because you dig those things over their opposites?

It seems to me that God and the Realm of God or whatever, has to include both, both love and hatrad, good and bad, etc... --or-- be BEYOND BOTH. Neither. Because once you have one you have the other.

You say;

Human forms are the underachievers because they fail to recognise the godself within them and live up to their potemtial

Let me ask you; what exactly is it that fails to recognize the "godself within"? What exactly is it that is not living up to it's potential? Surely you do not mean the pure form. You must mean some sort of agent of action inside of the human forms... And if that thing is, as you seem to believe, actually God, or the "godself", then just who is underacheiving if there is infact underachieving going on? (which there isn't by the way!) Wouldn't it be God or the "godself"?

cheers,
fortyone
