Very wise Rev. Kelly. I was reading something there yesterday and did hear through the words a personal opinion.

" There is a wrongful assumption here that messengers of God only obey and believe in God because he 'spoke' to them."
------ One way to be sure that God spoke to you is when God speaks to you , you know it .


" Another wrongful assumption is that people who God would 'speak' to would follow him no matter what. "
------------God will speak to someone who's path has led them to 'no choice' but a nexus of communication with God . A path which is on the path to 'no answer acceptable but God' .Your path may be defined in a way that leads to questions which realistic answers are not realistic and you would be on a path to God .

"Speaking with God" is not about believing in God but about a need for answers and which those very answers you need from God are so valid that God must hear you and reply . But God's communication with you can only happen in a chance factor of choreographed events in your life which one by one and one after another eventually showed a path you have been on and perhaps didn't know it but when that path starts to show as reality in your life and leads you to areas of uncertainity that the only sequence left is the nexus of you and GOD in communication then you are ready and also you have no choice as all choices have now led to God and you in nexus and communication .
